Jamshedpur, May 20: Karim City College successfully organized a workshop on current trends in the IT industry focusing on the Department of Computer Applications and the Department of Information Technology. The event, held today, saw the presence of esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Devashish Kumar, Head-IT Services at XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Commencing at 12 noon, the workshop spanned two sessions, lasting until 4 pm. In the first session, Dr. Devashish Kumar delivered a comprehensive lecture on equipping oneself with the latest tools and technologies that have emerged in the past decade. He emphasized the significance of students adding value to their technical skills and knowledge within their specific domains. This is crucial to meet the changing needs and requirements of the industry, surpassing the scope of general courses. Approximately 80 students actively participated in this enlightening workshop.

The Controller of Examination, Dr. BN Tripathi, warmly welcomed the guests, while Dr. Anwar Shahab, Coordinator of the Department of Computer Applications and Information Technology, introduced the esteemed guest. The program was skillfully conducted by Prof. Ratna Pandey, with Kanchan Bala proposing the vote of thanks. Distinguished faculty members such as Prof. Noorus Sabah, Prof. Farah Naaz, Mohd. Anjarual Haque, Shivram Bera, and Preeti Singh were also present during the workshop. Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, the Principal of Karim City College, recognized the importance of the workshop for the students and extended his congratulations to the Department of Computer Applications and the Department of Information Technology for organizing such a significant event.
