BISMARCK — Shelly Miller has been chosen as the chief of staff for North Dakota Information Technology, the state of North Dakota announced via press release Thursday, Aug. 3.

Shelly Miller has been chosen as the chief of staff for North Dakota Information Technology.

According to the release, Miller held the post of operations director for NDIT since July 2021. Prior to that, she was the human resources director, starting in that role in December 2008. She has been a member of NDIT’s executive team since 2008.

Miller’s newest role will consist of providing “strategic direction and operational oversight in the areas of communications, outreach and awareness, human resources, change management, learning and outreach for K-12 and state institutions, and NDIT EduTech,” the release said.

She will work under the state’s chief information officer, Kuldip Mohanty,

appointed to his position

in February. Mohanty replaced outgoing CIO Shawn Riley.

In the release, Miller listed education as an area of focus.

“I’m honored to be entrusted with such a pivotal role, and the confidence placed in me. I look forward to collaborating with my team, leveraging our strengths, and driving to make a positive impact on the employee experience through the efficient use of technology,” Miller stated. “I look forward to collaborating with NDIT-EduTech to positively impact North Dakota teachers and students through technology.”
