Guests staying at the property that use the feature can notably avoid check-in wait times by instead using their personal devices as a secure digital key in order to gain instant room access. Once a guest checks-in electronically, Mobile Access transmits digital key data using encrypted communication channels, ensuring that enhanced guest convenience doesn’t come at the cost of a reduction in hotel security.
